Hints and Revelations: Radius Festival of Drama,

The day includes a directing master class with two professional actors exploring Shakespeare’s The Tempest, a performance of A hint of the unknown God by Rex Walford, which dramatises poetry by John Betjeman, and Q&A.
The event starts at 12 and ends at 5.30pm, and if booked before 23rd September, lunch will be included in your ticket.

Medieval Sokemen Living History Group present a series of Living History events at Longthorpe Tower
Presented by the Medieval Sokemen re-enactment group, the events weave together as a journey through the 14th and 15th centuries, giving you the opportunity to explore the Tower’s rich history and experience life as it was lived many years ago.
2 & 3 November: A 15th Century Christmas: Delve into the past with our costumed history enthusiasts as they bring to life the traditions from a medieval Christmas. Discover how the festive season was celebrated 600 years ago, with yuletide feasts, medieval games and an opportunity to take part in a traditional Mummer’s play!

Diabetes research study
Do you know anyone living with diabetes? Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge are recruiting for a PhD study looking at the use of a blood flow restriction technique in healthy and diabetic feet. The aim is to improve the health of people living with diabetic foot, which can be a life changing condition. If you are living with diabetes with either healthy feet or diabetic feet, please consider taking part in this 4-week research study. Cambridge Ahead and the Global Sustainability Institute at Anglia Ruskin University have partnered on the ‘Energy and Sustainability’ element of Cambridge Ahead’s project ‘The Infrastructure Gap: Unlocking Cambridge’s Full Potential’. The project proposes that the growth seen in the Cambridge city region has not been matched by investment in the infrastructure to support it to happen sustainably and inclusively, and is interested in the perspectives of members of the public, regardless of prior expertise.

Volunteering Opportunities at The Museum of Cambridge
Front of House Volunteer: Welcome visitors to the Museum, share your own passion for history with local people, and national and international tourists, and make a significant impact to Cambridge’s local social history Museum.
Tour Guide Volunteer: New to the Museum this year we are looking for volunteers to help us lead, weekly tours of the historic quarter of Cambridge and within the Museum. Tours currently run on Monday’s with the possibility of expanding to more dates as the season continues!
Family Events Volunteers: Our summer calendar of family events is filling up with hands-on workshops and crafts. Join as a volunteer to help with natural dyeing, journal making and other fun family activities through the summer.
Collections Volunteer: This summer and autumn we are exploring the Museum’s framed collections. Get stuck into cataloguing, cleaning and caring for the Museum art, picture and print collections. This short term project will contribute to our catalogue of knowledge and preserve our collections for generations to come!
